Sigh my HS makes it into the news... again

whoa! North eh? DGS always had that course running as well...thats too bad. I feel sorry for the kid and his parents, but I do hope that they wont cancel that part of the wellness day. It was probably the most popular part of it.

Oh, dont forget, DGS made the news when we decided to say the pledge in school. I was even interviewed and got on TV.
 
They had those army things come and set up when i was at Palatine High School, not to far from DGN. Definatly sad thing that happened, but after seening the course in person i have to wonder what the hell he was doing to be comming head first over the wall that he did. I wouldn't be supprised if he was totally jerking around and his stupidity was what caused him to die. I don't mean to be incensitive, but maybe some of you see my point. Either way my condolences towards the family.

Come to think of it, that is probably what happened. I know that when I ran that course, it was a great time. You raced, and you gloated...part of gloating was showing off and goofin around. My friends that went there are pretty much in agreement...something that kid did was the cause of it. Because none of us even came remotely close to hurting ourselves in that manner.

yes they are. I wanted to see if i can join but you can join only if you were diagnost with cancer not if you were exposed to it
 
That sucks.

Back at my HS in South Carolina, one of our pitchers (he probably would have gone pro) collapsed during a running exercise (punishment by the coaches) and died on the field a few years back.

Heh, my high school made the news this year because the choir teacher impregnated a 16-year-old student of his. The paternity test showed the child was his even though he denied that he ever had sexual relations with her. He's now in jail awaiting trial. Teachers and students being involved sexually seems to be rather common in my area as their have been 7 other instances in the East Valley. I live in Gilbert, AZ and go to Higley High School. What makes me angry though is that the school district refuses to address the situation and it's been known to us since January. Ah well.

yeah i have to agree with you. i have seen the course and he had to be goofing off.
