*sigh* -- MB/CPU incompatible?

Did you check if they not by accident send a different cpu /mobo.

No protective covers are still in place and rotated cpu all possible ways?

Gave it a quick glance looks both FM2+ but not up to date with all AMD socket changes.

UPDATE : your model number is not on the support list , but like you said FM2+ both.
