when I was a kid I enjoyed exploring the potential for destruction. I never fvcked around with any really potent bombs or the like, but napalm and homemade projectile devices were par for the course. That's what kids do (unless they're stuck inside watching TV and forming habits to insure a lifetime of obesity).

It's possible to redirect this tendancy into a safer direction by getting your kids involved in other kinds of projects, but the urge itself isn't intrinsically antisocial.

In about twenty years I see this guy in his compound, surrounded by FBI agents and the ATF...oh wait, that was David Koresh!

This thread is hilarious - I like the part where you whine about having to replace him 😀

Interesting, since he's from Colorado, he should be able to find a kid named "butters"

Every kid I grew up with experimented with fire and explosives in some way. Mostly small explosives and smoke bombs. Never property damage, and NEVER someone elses property. But I think there is a difference in pipe bombs and m80s. Especially in the eyes of the law. Now if I could only find some Potasium Nitrate...they stopped selling it damnit!

open feild, gun power, cannon fuses, and pipe

it does make for a fun evening

What do you need those cannon fuses for?
Why for my cannon of course.

2) that is not what I typed.

Sure sound.. err, looked like that. So if I misunderstood, what did you mean?

You didn't have to go out and blow up stuff, but staying inside playing games and GI Joe all afternoon doesn't qualify.

I also set myself on fire once....something about having to run around the back of your home in flames to jump in the pool builds character I think.
