for the pass 2 years I've been filing with HRblock thru their free-online program. and this year I thought it would be free too.... well, I guess you all know what happens next. at the Bill Summary page, the Federal Filing turned out to be 29.99 dollars. so I guess I will have to do the filing all over again with another company or (through pen-n-paper)

I think I paid $40 total for state and fed. I just had them deduct it from my refund, I didnt really pay attention. Plus they keep my info so all I have to do is log in, type in my income and taxes and it does the rest.

I dumped Turbo Tax a couple years back when they put in their privacy violating stuff. THis year I got Tax Cut for like $15 and got free state, free deduction pro software, free MS Money 2k5, free $10 gift card, etc. Such good deals to be had, just check the sunday paper.

I have an accountant because of all our deductions and investments. Freakin' tax form fills two manila envelopes and he charges $120. Good news is I'm getting $6g's back :)
