Not all come that way. Looked at a few that were the two dot setup. I really have no idea why some are that way though. Google a bit and youll see others who have bought them that way.

Mine was just a p226R (standard p226).

keep an eye out for deals and it ends up more at 10-15% more from what ive seen. of course that depend son what you are willing to shoot as well. (ie reloads, re-manufactured, ect). But still it does add up. At the same time i shoot for fun so paying a bit more for the same ammo i can use across multiple guns is something i'd prefer over having to store even more ammo

I would agree with you if I didn't already have a huge gamut of guns to pick from. I already buy 9, 40, 45, 223, 22LR, 12 gauge, and 30-06 when I'm feeling adventurous. Now that ammo's on the upleg of its price cycle I'm focused on cost, so lots of 22 but a little bit bigger isn't too bad either.

Oddly enough though I did buy this 40 because a local indoor range requires frangible ammo, and their price on 40 is a lot cheaper than anything else.

We have a P6-225. The dozens of attempted muggers I kill with it on a nightly basis proves it has great action and accuracy, and its 16 round magazine makes sure I get the job done with enough ammo to get me home. My only problem is it's not very comfortable to jog with.

LOL! :D:thumbsup:

Ahhh didn't know you had more than what you'd mentioned. Nevermind then :)

I like my 2022.
but it's too wide for carry (mag is double stack).

229 in .40 that is my service weapon. I love the feel and it fits perfectly in my hand. So much better than the glocks i own.

I can actually get a 2022 9mm from the shop for $400. Good price, but I'm not terrible psyched about having yet another polymer framed gun. Just doesn't seem like it'd have the same Sig feel as their metal framed guns that made them famous.

yeah, it's also not very light for a poly gun.
but try it out. it shoots reliably, and the SA pull is one of the best out there.

Haha, nice! I have a P226 in .40 caliber with a TLR-3 on it. :awe:

I got mine used (barely, it seems) so I paid less, otherwise I don't think I'd have one yet. I like the heavier weight as it helps mitigate the .40 cal recoil a bit, the single action trigger and decocker, excellent accuracy, and 0 malfunctions after probably 750+ rounds.

I don't like the large grip size (small hands), and the double action trigger as the latter I find stiff and a bit hard to determine where it breaks but only because I almost always shoot using single action (yeah yeah I know I need to practice DA). But those are the only two negatives and they're not a huge deal as I absolutely love the pistol.

sweet combo clamum ;)

Another thought for the OP - Sig has a lot of upgrades that drive the price of their pistols up. Having played with these I don't think they are worth it. Stick with the base version and add accessories as needed.

Have a Sig P228 9mm, bought used. I love the weight, feel and action. Slap on some hogue grips and it's even better.
