Sienna 2004 XLE AWD - rolls forward downhill even on reverse
Parallel parking with a Sienna 2004 XLE all wheel drive has always been challenging for me on a 15% grade slope. I always have to keep my feet on both pedal and brake because even on reverse the van rolls forward. Recently, I had a Smart car rental and was in a similar situation, but the rental car held its ground and stayed in place while I had the gear in reverse.
I also remember my Corolla 2006 rolling forward when in reverse. I thought it was just expected behavior to not stay in place. Are there any aftermarket upgrades that I can keep my van from rolling forward when in reverse while facing downhill?
