Blockbuster is having a sale on a bunch of pre viewed videos. (no DVDs) and playstation games. The movies start at 99c and go up.

I asked the guy if it was just that store or what. He said its basically a national thing. It's up to each store if they wanna do it. (basically if a store has a bunch of old videos taking up storage room, they'll probably do it I guess)

The movies start at 99c and go up.

All the playstation games are $5

I picked up Way of the Gun, The Yards, Blair Witch 2, all for 99c (didn't really have that much interest in these, buy hey, its only a buck)
And got Unbreakable for $2.99

I don't have a playstation, so I didn't bother checking out the games. The only title I noticed was madden 99, and I imagine the rest of the games are that old too.

Anyways, there isn't really a great selection of titles, but its worth checking out atleast, IMO, so call your local store and see if they're running the deal.

Blockbuster in the UK used to be great for this sort of thing.

Once a title no longer needed 100 copies, it'd get marked down as pre-viewed.
As most of the stuff pre-viewed wasn't even released yet, it'd be normal price, just available early.

My local store would always lose the original boxes, so you ended up with unreleased dvd's, disc only for £5 ($7.50) - but wait for it, each previously viewed dvd had a one year guarantee.

Now, bearing in mind that DVD's do not wear out/stretch with use, as tapes do, you can't go far wrong, and if you happen to scratch it sometime during the year - whoopee do! - how many shops would take back a brand new dvd after 11 months if you scratched it :)

Nice find... even though they dont have any DVDs. How disappointing. Well, guess I'll have to deal with afew VHS tapes for now, and possibly PS games.

dentalboy,

Cuz DVDs are never "used", they are just slightly old. Besides, they only started rending DVDs a little while ago, but they are probably trying to sell movies that are 3+ years old and just wore out.. It doesn't make sense for them to get rid of DVDs.
