Sidegrade from GTX 560 Ti to HD 7870.

Just how is HD7870 supposed to be a sidegrade from GTX 560Ti when it will wipe the floor with it? HD7870 is going to be faster out of the box than an HD6970 with more overclocking potential. GTX 560Ti is not faster than HD6970 so HD7870 is an UPgrade from GTX 560Ti not a sidegrade..

Wow, they are going to have a cramped performance area between the 6970 and the 7970. Might as well save $250 and get the 7870 over the 7970! :sneaky:

The ref 560 ti is probably the shortest mid-high perf card released in years by either manufacturer.

I agree, for the power it has, it is a damn small card. I just replaced my 5870 with one (the 5870 died) and was amazed at how much smaller the 560ti was. Nice little package that card.
Funny thing about the drivers. The 5870 had zero driver problems, and I mean zero. Now that I am on an nV with perfect drivers apparently, I have random glitches and one map even crashes with a texture error on Killing Floor.. Have not had any problems in other games, but that texture error crash is really annoying and even with the newest drivers, will not go away.

I thought the 7870 was going to be 349.99?

7970 - 549.99
7950 - 449.99
7890 - 399.99
7870 - 349.99
7850 - 299.99

Yes.... could end up something like (guessing):

..
....
6950 (-10&#37😉 (slowest)
7850 (-_5%)
6970 (base)
_570 (base)
7870 (+_5%)
_580 (+10%)
7890 (+20%)
7950 (+35%)
7970 (+50%) (fastest)

with the 590 and 6990 as the kings ontop of the world.... until 7990.
