Sidebar broke page formatting

When wide images are posted (for example, here) it used to be the case that only the post with the image was widened, the rest still fit on your screen. Since the sidebar was added now every post has to be horizontally scrolled. Please fix this, I was so happy that people weren't able to break horizontal formatting in VB and now you've broken it again.
