Oh, by side panels, you mean windows... Okay. Because pretty much every single case has side panels. Not all cases have windows installed in them though....

Well, for what it's worth, some cases look good with them, some don't. It's a completely personal preference thing. Strangely enough, I'm modding my server case to have one, but my gaming case won't (atleast not for a while)....
 
As said, it depends on the case. I think that Lian Li cases look good both with and without the side windows, so really you should just go with what you want.
 
Until I got my puppy I used to keep the side panel off of my tower and by panel I mean the side of the computer. Talk about the ultimate cooling. 😛
 
i think i will go head and get the one w/ the clear panel, and then if i want it to be solid i can get another one from performance pc's.

Actually if your case has proper cooling, taking off the side panel can make it hotter.
 
replace your side panel with a box fan. problem solved. Now as for the dog humping it... you are just going to have to neuter it with your teeth for that result.
