Side Fan?

Hi,

I'm modifying my case and putting some fans in it. The back is just to small for a good fan (40mm x 40mm) so I'm thinking of placing one in the side wall. I'd like to place it directly across from where the CPU HSF (Athlon 1GHz so HSF will be quite tall) will be. I have a front fan drawing air in. Should the side fan suck air out? Does it matter whether the CPU HSF blows or sucks air in relation to the side fan?😕

I just put mine blowing out, figure that it would cause less air turbulence in my case. (I hope...)
