My side window fan is touching my tuniq tower when the side panel is installed. I'm sure it is putting unnecessay pressure on the heatsink and I want to see if anyone has ideas on what to do.
Obviously I know I can:

[*]Get a new heatsink
[*]Leave the door off
[*]Put the fan on the outside of the case
[*]Remove the fan and somehow seal the hole, or just leave it.
[*]Get a "thinner" fan (if available)

Any other ideas? I don't want to replace the heatsink nor do I want to leave the door off. Placing the fan on the outside of the case would look ugly. Not sure about removing and covering the hole because i would like the extra airflow.
And I'm not sure if they make a skinnioer fan. The fan dimensions are as follows:

90x90x25 mm,1800rpm, 21dBA.

Why didn't you measure before buying? See the consequences of not doing one's homework?

Do you have a link to a pic of your case - the side with the fan problem. Even though there doesn't appear to be a thin 92mm fan there may be options that would make sense and or look better.

I've found 80x15 fans but you'd have to create an adapter that wouldn't add much thickness. But how about a 92mm aluminum framed fan with a nice looking filter mounted to the outside?

I bought it all at the same time pretty much. An entire new build. No, I didn't look at each manufacturers spec's and add the motherboard and heatsink total height and see if that would clear the inside of the case and exactly where the case fan would line up :Q

In building 20 - 30 pc's I've never had any type of clearence issue such as this.
