Stumbled on this link just now. Though it was very interesting
T-bird 750 Slot A cut in half.
now, the top part(top of the tin/silver pins) is almost certainly the same as a Socket A t-bird. You have core, which is completely on top of ceramic substrate(third picture).
So socket-thermistor measurements go through 7 layers of Ceramic PCB before "reading" temps..
. Interesting stuff, and props to the guys who got the chips cut.
