As per thread title. Has anyone managed to get them to work like in windows 7 and older at all? I can find 5-6 years old threads on answers.microsoft.com and no clear or permanent solution.
It leaves desktop area visible for no reasons whatever option you pick, stacked or side by side does the exact same for me... it's getting boring to manually move them around and resizing to fit, particularly with 3+ windows open.

I'm asking as especially today with ultra wide monitors and high resolutions I can't fathom how is it possible a simple "windows" function doesn't work at all and isn't getting a fix.

This "feature" hasn't worked for years, possibly since Win10. And, it doesn't mater if you have 1080p monitor, or higher rez. I use a 1440p, 27 inch monitor and have multiple windows open a lot. It use to p1$$ me off that it doesn't work, but now I just deal with it and resize and move around the windows as needed.
