Side bar..wont turn off...profile issue?

So i cant disable the sidebar under my prfile, I hate that thing but it wont stick when I accept the changes to my profile.
Anyone else got this issue? Or know how to fix it?

you're serious? you can't turn it off.

Dead serious, it wont stay..I hut "update profile" and it just stays there.

I think it is specific to Windows XP and maybe SP2, because my laptop doesnt do it at all....

its there. you can't turn it off via normal options in your profile.

Nope, i triy and try and try...it wont accept it when I say update profile, it goes right back to being enabled....
