Side and top fans...

I have an Antec SX1000 case, and I replaced my case fans with Panaflos, and my power supply fans with the Antecs that came with the case. When I did that, the noise level went down a ton, but my cpu temps rose from 34 degrees idle to 38 degrees and my idle case temps went from 25 degrees to 28 degrees. My heavy load temps are all about 3 - 5 degrees higher than the idles.

The question is, will a side fan or a top fan help? If so, what kind should I get (make sure noise stays low)? And finally, should the side be an intake or an exhaust (Different people say different things about this one)?

I have an intake over my expansion slots to keep air circulation going between my cards.

I personally don't like blow holes. They break the airflow and make cooling even worse. If I were you, I would try to fit an extra 80mm fan in the front and back to get more airflow. It will also keep your air flowing how it is supposed to (right past the CPU).

Are those 4 degrees going to hurt you? It's still well below the recommended operating temps. If you're trying for quiet, you wont get it by adding more fans. Maybe pull one of the rear Panaflos and replace it with one of the original fans. Otherwise, I'd leave it be.
