In your experience does the side air duct do anything? Do you take it off? What would be a good HSF to take advantage of a side air duct?

TIA

only if your using a stock cooler.

Otherwise it tend to get in the way of your aftermarket brand.

It does better if it actually lines up with the fan on your CPU. And it is another source of dust getting into your case unless you filter it. Mainly for Intel processors.

Well they said it. It helps only if you have a HSF that has a top blowing fan. Otherwise its just an intake fan, better if it is a 120mm fan get more CFM at half the noise as an 80mm fan.

I have a fan over my GPU and CPU HSF, so it does help keep things cooler.
