I always here Costco is so cheap and saves you so much money. Place is robbing me of my money in cold blood. I go there and get a pack of steaks and a few other things, like just 1/4th a basket full of shit, and the bill is like $177. I'm sure the 20,000 paper plates for $19.99 is a good deal, but I could have gotten the 200 pack for $1.99 at Wal-Mart and saved $17 and still not needed paper plates again for years. Fuck you Costco, fuck you. Except your food court. That part of it rocks.

Gotta be honest, I’m not digging Costco.
Admittedly:
It is a long boring tedious drive from home to Costco
Two people in our house makes bulk buying stupid
I don’t like bulk buying, I don’t like the refrigerator packed full of stuff, I refuse to buy a freezer or storage chest, I don’t like looking at stacks and stacks of cleaning supplies or TP or whatever
I don’t like the mess and the chaos that is inside Costco when I’ve gone.

Costco stopped carrying almost everything we bought regularly so we only renew if we are making a big purchase and price + membership is a better deal than elsewhere.

Where else are you going to study for your law degree, though?

I like Costco but since I live by myself I don't go very often anymore .... only when it's time to stock up on paper towels, TP and rotisserie-chicken!

I'm single and love Costco. I get my prescriptions there, I get oils there, I'll always get the organic chicken broth in cartons, sometimes I buy some of their ramen offers, I get the ground beef, organic spinach, potatoes, and carrots, and frozen vegetables for my dog's food.

I buy the three packs of organic chicken parts. I buy the three packs of organic ground beef, I usually give one to my sister's household. I'll also buy three pack of ribeye freeze two and cook one. And sometimes up by the boneless short ribs and makeup bunch of Italian stew.

Once in a while I'll treat myself to some of the expensive seafood.

Oh and other me or my sister will buy the big packs of paper towels and toilet paper and then I'll take some and they'll keep most.

I'll walk around and check out the store and sometimes they have other stuff that works for me. Oh the lox. Sometimes they have this good brand of guacamole that comes in three tubs and you can freeze them. So I eat one and freeze two.

In the winter I'll buy their refrigerated soups, couple of them are good, like the clam chowder. Here and there I'll buy the rotisserie chicken. Half for me, half for the dog.

There's a lot of good stuff there even if you don't have a big household

What do you do with the pork belly? How do you cook it?
Pressure cooked with soy sauce, minced garlic, some salt, brown sugar. I include eggs too. Sometimes I fry the meat after.
My late lunch/early dinner right now. ;)

Your lack of self-control is why Costco is making money, and while you try to blame them for your failings, they don't give a fuck.

Are you using an Instant Pot? What settings? Do you feel like it is really fatty or is it OK?

Seriously why buy way more paper plates than you need. That's on you not Costco.

Like I said I'm alone in my household and I get very specific products at specific times and It's worth it. You just can't buy anything that has way too much than your household is likely to use.

Also around here for the first time in forever starting next month only Costco members can get gas. Before anyone could get gas. Another plus.

Here's what I bought last week, $62.xx. :(

Oh shit. They have the Libby's corned beef? I usually don't go down the canned food aisle. Libby's is the only one that's good. Hormel and a couple other brands I've tried are just not very good.

Also a case of that Libby's corned beef hash is 20 bucks on Amazon. You got lox which is not cheap also. Probably another 20 bucks. And a large quantity of pork belly, plus a $6 gallon of that juice so 62 bucks seems to make plenty of sense. I mean it adds up fast when you're buying stuff like that.

It seems you got your money's worth actually.

I mean I could go by one pack of steaks a pack of spinach and some chicken broth and it'll be 50 something bucks and I could be like wow three things for 50 bucks but I ain't got ground to stand on. so it really matters what you put in your cart not just the quantity.
