I've read about problems with copy protection but never experienced it until today. I *legally* own UT2004. I downloaded the demo and played around with it a bit. I liked it enough to buy the game so when I saw the deal UB Games had I picked it up. Anyway, I was running low on disk space so I decided to uninstall any old stuff I didn't need anymore. One of them was the UT2004 demo. Well, next time I went to run the full UT2K4 I got a invalid CD key error. :disgust: :|
Luckily, all I had to do was have my friend export a registry key and replace my UT code for his and import it. Had we not gone through that workaround it would've been installing 6 CD's again. That's BS.
