Desktop replacements are cool, if you don't mind being corded everywhere you go.

Looks like specs like that would call for a 500 cold cranking amp car battery just to run! :p

Very nice (color sucks though).

Why use the 915P chipset and DDR2? Just save some more money and go 915P+DDR or even 865\875+DDR and not lose any noticeable performance?

Pssssh. If the specs are right, I'd GLADLY cart that barbell of a laptop around with me. That's a graphics WORKSTATION, pretty much.

heh. so they stuck a regular vid card in there? i think the 13lbs is worth it, with a 6800 in there.

it is a 6800Go, not sure exactly what that compares to, however it is not a regular video card. i think a full 6800 would probably melt the thing and drain the batteries before it booted into windows.

Well this is a good way to work out you shoulders. Maybe in a year you will have respectable size shoulders.

You mean a backpack for the car battery? Anything over 8 lbs for a laptop becomes quite a burden to have to lug around. Almost 12.5 lbs? That's ridiculous. Hope the price includes coupons for a monthly chiropractor visit.

I wouldn't mind if it were that heavy really, maybe 12.6 is a bit excessive, but not too bad IMO.
But then, I don't like laptops at all, and especially not ones with goofy colors, so it's not an issue for me ;)
