I wonder how many trees they chopped to build those structures.

So much poison ivy around here, that's not even feasible.

That was very impressive. Some really nice camera work too. They must have rigged up something for some of those shots where the camera was about 30 feet above the ground. RC helicopter with camera perhaps?

Definitely not this.

The reason why I mention it was I watched a video that used an RC helicopter to achieve similar sorts of shots. I can't for the life of me find it again, but if I recall correctly it was a short film sponsored by Nikon to showcase the video mode on the D90

Edit:
Not the video I was thinking of, but pretty much the same thing

I used to ride back in the early 90s and was the stuff we did. The trail I mean. That tight shit. No, I wasn't doing no handers or any the crazy skills seen. But the close quarters shit was fun.

But pumping down a trail and gettin air? Hells yeah.

I like how Ginger just tossed in a backflip. Sick skills

Ichi, I don't necessarily speak for the guys in the video (though they look like pro riders, so I would think they'd understand trail building) but a lot of times trails are built using the resources from the area. I know when my dad builds trail, he tries to avoid bringing in any outside materials.

Other than that, awesome video - those guys are pretty damn good riders.

Pretty cool track they built and looks like fun but if you want to see someone with super skills you should check out Danny Macaskill....get through the first minute or so of the video, it gets good

Macaskill is the best at Urban Biking (Metro Mountain Biking?). What's really cool is checking out his recent videos and seeing the progression. After his Red Bull sponsership his lines have become more inventive, creative and more flip tricks!

His vids hold the record for how many 'WTFs' I say out loud while watching than any other.

After watching the OP's video again I do have to say that the track they created is pretty freaking awesome.

Whoever shot that video, choreographed the riders, and did the video editing has some awesome skills.

Did I mention Ginger tossed in a back flip just for kicks? It's like they're just riding having fun and then - hey! Think I'll do a backflip.
