Sick Coworkers

Lately, there has been illness going around our office. It's hit a large majority of my floor with the exception of myself and a couple of my other coworkers. Some are intelligent enough to stay home when they are sick, but others decide that they need to work and are at work, coughing up their lungs and spreading germs in a closed air environment.

PSA: IF YOU ARE SICK, STAY THE FUCK HOME.

Some people are more dedicated than others. Many of them are most likely pressured to work while they're sick.

Define the level of sick that you imply should stay home.

I currently have a stuffy nose and a case of the sniffles, and while I consider that "sick", no way in hell am I losing a day of pay over that. I use hand sanitizer and I keep to my workstation. I'm washing my hands frequently and I'm not being disgusting.

We have our PTO broken up into several categories... one of them is "sick time" which can be used for yourself, or say if you're taking care of your sick kid.

It IS annoying when people are sneezing all over the place. THere's this one person at work who's snot smells so bad! She has a bucket full. So nasty. not to mention her mouse is all sticky...I help her almost exclusively through remote control.
