Most Italian men still live at home late into their 30s, enjoying their "mamma's" cooking, washing and ironing.

"Mammoni" From CBS 60 Minutes
Sunday, March 4, 2001 (and again on Sunday, July 22, 2001) CBS-TV aired a segment on 60 Minutes. "Mammoni" in Italian, means mama's boy. It is just as unflattering there (though they take less offense) as it is here in the US. More than half of the single Italian men in Italy still live at home.
CBS Summary: Mammoni: So many Italian men are opting for the comfortable life their mothers provide instead of leaving home to marry, that the birth rates are declining and Italian society has labeled them mammoni, or "mama's boys." Lesley Stahl reports.
Italy has the lowest baby population like in babasto only 3 babies were born.
They say the US is individualistic society, whereas Italy is focused and centered on family " when you watch TV, you have no one to talk to about what it is"
