Siatek X45 flight controller any good?

It seems to be an identical design to the X36 system with a few additions, like lit buttons. The X36 system is by far the best I've ever used, and I've used Thrustmaster, CH Products, Microsoft, and Logitech joysticks/throttles. If it's just a tweaked X36 system, then yeah, I'd say it's pretty good.
 
I think that the X45 might be replacing the X36 because the X36 is not even on the saitek web site.

the x45 is the successor to the x36, but is an inferior joystick.

the review in computer gaming world still gives the nod to the x36, and gave a poor review for the x45. was a step in the wrong direction. ill see if i can find a place that sells it later.
 
They're discontinueing the X36! AAArgh. I've been putting of buying the X36 for 2 years and now this! Procrastinating sucks!!
 
just the reviews ive read said it wasnt quite what the x36 was. cgw is the only one i can remember off hand.

if the x45 is cheaper, it may be the best way to go as the x36 was discontinued. just a personal thing 🙂

i played with the x36 and lubbed it, it was just too expensive at the time. i wouldn't want to take a chance, id go ahead and get the joystick i know i liked, rather than one that is similar but i dont have hands on it.

it may be better, but it may be worse. id just stick with what i know works and i like, just a personal preference. i think you'd be happy with either one however.

The X45 IS better than the X36 for feel and ease of programming.
No other Hands-On-Stick-And-Throttle system comes close, especially when
you take price into consideration!
