I'm building a new system around a P4 3.0c/Hercules 9800 Pro/2 x 256 mgs. Corsair XMS pc3500 ram and am thinking about going SFF. Does anyone know if you can boot from a single SATA (WD Raptor) hd?

TIA :)

why wouldnt you be able to? The BIOS should suppport it from the start.... they even let you boot off a USB memory dongle(?) thing nowadays!

yeah, no problem. Just read a review at Thresh's. I'm concerned about heat and that dinky 200 watt ps tho....

200W is not "dinky", since that's a constant 200W feed.

That's a lot of power for a box most of us could dropkick forty feet.

I've this system/motherboard and had no problem booting with the SATA drive. You do have to enable SATA in the BIOS, default is disabled.

SB61G2 has an 865G chipset. The supposedly forthcoming SB62G2 has an 865PE. That's the one I am interested in and am glad I got a full sized board awhile back while I wait, and wait, and wait...
