I just bought a SN42G2 barebone. I have not seen it yet because I am still in Iraq. But I just had a quick question about the FN41 Mobo on the inside. Does it have multiple cooling fan ability. Because I am going to have to come back to this place 2 weeks after i leave it. Sence I am bring it back with me I was just wondering about keeping it cool. It is very very hot here, so I was thinking I might need extra cooling.

If it doesn't is there anything I can do to keep from frying out my computer? Just looking for help and advice. The specs of the other stuff is as follows.

Athon XP 2500+
PC2700 512mb
80gb WD HDD
ATI Radeon 9700 pro 128mb

I'm running nearly the exact same specs as you (replace the SN41G2 w/ a SN41G, and the 9700 Pro with a 9800 Non-Pro), and I'm not having any heating problems with it. If you are having instability problems, go into your BIOS and switch the RAM settings from Turbo to something more stable. Every single game and DVD I was playing would crash within a matter of minutes, but once I changed that setting, I've been gaming for hours without having a crash. This was regular old Crucial 2700, not some no name brand, so I doubt it was the ram's fault.

You can also do a little modding. Replace the 80mm fan with a higher CFM model. Also, cut out the back fan grill and replace it with a wire guard. That should be enough to keep you cool if you're having problems.

I have not even got my hands on it to put it together yet. I was just asking cuz where I am taking it it's like 130 degrees F. during the day. I might work in an air conditioned place but that at its best only cuts me down to about 90 degrees. So I have to deal with extream temps during most of the day.

Mine works in a space that is normally 85F. It keeps its temperature at or below 52C (a little high, but these run a bit warmer than other machines) at all times; it's a 1700+ clocked to 2+GHz and all I have done is upgraded the 80mm fan w/o cutting out the back grill.
