Shuttle SV-24 successor?

Hey all,

I really like what I see with the shuttle SV-24. However, I am much more interested in the next version briefly mentioned in the review here at Anandtech. Does anyone know more specifics about this, or when the next P4 compatible version will be released? I am specifically interested in knowing what integrated video solution shuttle will use, as I'd like to use this computer for multi-purpose. I know I'm dreaming, but if they could manage to put an All-In-Wonder Radeon on the motherboard I'd be in heaven .

Thanks

Rup

Just picked up two of the SV-24s last night at Fry's in Dallas/Ft. Worth.

They had an "unannounced special" that included a 1ghz boxed Celeron with the SV-24 for $299

Since the SV-24 normally sells for $249, that's a $50 processor.

It was cheaper than the 850mhz Celeron that I had spec'd out for a client.

Got one put together last night. Not too tough, but the second will be much easier since I know the cable routings.

The stock Intel heatsink/fan will not work, but Shuttle included one (and I added a dab of Artic Silver).

Should get the other one assembled tonight. These are pretty cool.

The SV24 is definitely cool. I built one for my dad and I think it's exceptional. The problem with you guys trying to run high end P4's and Athlons in them is that they run hot and the airflow is not that great. It's also pretty loud and cooling is hard because of the reasons stated earlier. I run a C3 in mine with a 1U HSF and temp at idle is 25C.

They should replace that PCI slot with an AGP slot...when the socket 478 version arrives, it'd make a great LAN case!
