I recently decided to go xpc so i can lan and i like the how small and stylish it is i was wondering if i should go value ram or ocz el plat. rev 2. From what i read the bios only allow u to go up to 233 fsb but they are going to release a newer bios that will go higher my question is it worth buying good ocing ram or just value will i be able to get a good oc outa the xpc? how far will value ram oc in fsb (average). should i not oc a xpc?

off the topic but should i get a monitor or a video card i play cs 1.6 in leagues at 800x600 32bit i am sure i will be at 100fps easy shouldnt i?

feel free to add comments.

Value RAM doesn't overclock well generally...except really the OCZ value VX which needs extra voltage supply that you don't have
But you can still overclock your CPU while locking RAM frequency (Available in your BIOS?) so that's fine even if you get value RAM

100fps in CS1.6 should be fine with your system

Overclockerbility is questionable on the shuttle XPC. I never owned one I don't know.

But I would say it'd be a waste of money getting excellent ram soon to find out it can't overclock

You can check though whether there's an option in BIOS to lock RAM/PCI frequency and just overclock the FSB.
That way you can try overclocking the CPU only to see how the XPC copes

i want to know pretty much if its worth buying some good ocing ram or just value.

i am in a pickel ( lol )

the value ram cost 80 and the ocz el plat cost 180
its a 100 dollar diff. if it doesnt oc well i just wasted 100 dollars..if it oc's good which it wont since there is a bios wont let u raise fsb past 233mhz but they are in the process of changing that. my computer would be good without ocing and would be very good for the games i play (cs 1.6 4 life).
