Shuttle SS51G & fastest video card?

Well, with the fan failing on my Nvidia 5600 Ultra, I decided to upgrade my video card to a Radeon 9700 Pro in my Shuttle SS51G. Well, BF2 started fine and ran very nicely for 5 minutes and then...no video signal to my monitor. I had read that power can be an issue with high end cards and the 200W PS in the Shuttle. I tried putting the HD on the same power line with the MB and then used the other power line to supply the DVDRW and the Radeon card.

The Shuttle website talks about running a 9800Pro with a fully configured system for 3 days of burn in with no problems. Am I out of luck here? Am I simply asking for too much juice...do I need to change the power leads...or do I have to go for a new power supply? The tech support guy for my 5600 Ultra said it too should be drawing too much juice and could lead to early PS failure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I used a 9800Pro on my old SS51G for a few months. I didn't really run into any problems, but then again I don't recall running anything demanding on it (i.e. games). Try searching the sff forums at www.sudhian.com and see if you can find anything. I believe that I've read plenty of people that ran 9700/9800s and had no problems. The AIWs are a different story though.

You could test your theory with a regular desktop ATX power supply, I guess, and see if you still have issues.
