Any ideas? I can't sem to find the power requirements for the card.

The PS is as follows:

+12v - 16A
+5Vsb - 2A
-12V - 0.3A
+3.3V - 16A
+5V - 19A

Thanks

I'm not overclocking anything and I"m running 1gig RAM, one hardrive, one DvD, and Athlon 64 3000+ chip, and windows XP home if any of that matters.

Should work I think. My old nameless power supply that came with the case was 400w I think, with 16a on the 12v rail, and I ran a 7600gs with it just fine.

Wattage won't be the issue, but amperage may be.

16A on the +12V is pretty light.

You could try it, but i'll admit i personally wouldn't feel that comfortable with that.

If it's stable though, that's all that matters.

Thanks all. For the price I think I'll just give it a try until I can replace the whole thing! The fan on my 9800 is drving me nuts!

Anyone know if most more modern cards are quieter than the old Radeon 9800? Just thinking ahead :)

Update: Ended up with the XFX 7600GT instead of the GS since it was less than $100 after rebate. Works great. No issues at all.
