Hey everyone, ive been a long time visitor but this is my first time posting! Anyway I am putting together a shuttle sn27p. Primarily I want it to a portable gaming machine (I am in a dorm room so I went for the sn27p because I was able to get it cheap from a guy I know.) I want it to rip on the current games and be ready for games like Crysis and Quake Wars.

I have decided to go with an EVGA 8800gts (i know many will say it wont fit but it does haha)

Here is my main question...I have been debating between the 4800+ and the 5600+

I have been told to go with the 4800+ because of price and power usage..however, looking at the benchmarks...the 5600+ seems alot more future proof.

Let me know what you guys think! thanks!

How does the 5600+ seem "a lot more future proof"? There's only about a 10% speed difference between the two, and you can easily overclock the 4800 to make up for that? Also, the 4800+ is a lower-wattage part, I think, which is particularly good in an SFF.
