Hello, all. I just purchased a SK43G about a week ago (third Shuttle product), and have been having a POST problem that I have not been able to narrow down. When the machine kicks on, sometimes it shows the BIOS screen and boots. Other times, it turns fans and lights on, but no display comes on the monitor (and the smart fan never kicks down in speed). Tried different hard drive (Western Digital 80GB and Maxtor 80GB; was having a formatting problem with Windows 2000), different memory (512MB Crucial PC2700 and then good Kingston PC2700), but still have this problem. It seems like the problem mostly occurs on cold boots. This machine is about to get RMA'd back to Newegg if it can't be fixed, but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I'd rather get this fixed rather than worry about the problem in a second one, in addition to waiting for the new box. I have heard that this type of problem is usually motherboard related (and can be caused by something shorting out). Also, I have read about corrupted BIOS' due to faulty batteries. Everything else is integrated in this machine, limiting options for testing. Thanks.
