Shuttle SG41J1-VP
barebones (motherboard/PSU/case only)
$139.99 (going price elsewhere seems to be $160-200)
-$35 rebate (exp. 9/23)
Ground shipping to me in WI was $8.99
This is one of the cheaper Shuttle systems using the Intel G41 chipset for socket 775 and DDR3. The built-in GMA4500 video has VGA and DVI, plus it has a PCIe x16 slot for discrete video cards.
A couple things of note for those who have used Shuttle barebones in the past: This case is apparently made of steel and not aluminum, plus there is the chance that it does not come with the ICE heatpipe cooler (both cost cutting measures on lower end Shuttles in recent years). Shuttle has made different variants of the SG41J1 barebones both with and without the ICE cooler, and Fry's doesn't specify. Also, for those hoping for a tiny LAN box, the PSU is only 250W so even though it has a PCIe x16 slot, there isn't enough power for a higher end graphics card.
The last Shuttle system I've owned was probably 6 or 7 years ago (socket A Nvidia chipset). Since then I've built my own SFF systems, but this one is certainly tempting.
