So I managed to pick up a Shuttle SG31G2 barebones system with a dvd drive. The person I bought it from said he isn't sure if the PSU and motherboard work (CPU socket wasn't covered so I don't know if there are bent pins or not - even if there was, I wouldn't know how to fix it). I was thinking of transferring my brother's computer over to the Shuttle. His computer specifications are E8400, G.Skill DDR2-800, VisionTek 4850 with Accelero S1, Asus P5Q, Corsair 650TX, WD 640GB Caviar Black, and CM Hyper 212+ HSF. Since the Shuttle is a 775 socket, I figured I would be to re-use the CPU, RAM, GPU, and HD and sell off the rest.

Assuming the PSU (190(L) x 82(W) x 43(H) mm) and MOBO are unusable, where would I get a Socket T LGA-775 motherboard and a PSU that would be able to fit into the case and run properly? If the PSU and MOBO are in fact usable, would the 250W PSU be sufficient for a E8400, 4GB RAM, 4850 with Accelero S1, 640GB HD and a DVD burner (I could take out the DVD burner if necessary)?

Found this PSU and this PSU that seems to be compatible with the series and seems to have enough power to run a 4850.

Shuttle makes replacement PSUs, which you've already found. I'm not sure they will run a 4850.

For a motherboard, you can probably fit an ITX board in there. It will be a bit smaller than the Shuttle board, but should fit.

Hm well as for the PSU, their website does list a MSI 4850 (MSI R4850-T2D512) on its compatibility list.
