Hi. I just finished installing the Shuttle MN31L. Everything seemed to be working fine until I installed a USB D-Link wireless device. The system would detect a new device and then hang up. I tested some other USB devices...my mouse and my storage device worked fine. I have a pretty old wireless card, but has worked fine on my other computers. Is there a solution to fix this?
Could any of these problems be related to bios and the onboard nvidia functions?
I thought this shuttle would be easy to install, but it has caused me some frustration and any help will be appreciated.
Here are my specs (pretty simple):
Shuttle MN31L ( i just updated the bios)
512MB Ram PC2700 Kingston
DVD Burner
AMD 2200+
Antec 375 watts
120gb seagate 7200rpm
Windows 2000 with all the updates
Also the Nvidia chip (i'm assuming the fan under stress) makes a little whining noise whenver I click down on my mouse or scroll. Whats up with that? Anyway to get rid of that?
What's also weird is that whenever I shutdown manually (by pressing my power switch), my mouse and my keyboard stay lit up. Why?
Thanks.
