My friend and mentor, Jim, is going over the data recorded from our VLF equipment to see if we were able to detect the launch or not based on the disturbances in the upper atmosphere. It's not as cool as detecting pulsars IMHO, but it's still a good exercise to verify the equipment and our custom-written software. ;)

The antenna and receiver for the VLF is over at Jim's place. He's coming over later today with some systems for me to upgrade.

Edit: I just called Jim - he's got relatives over right now. He said as soon as he gets the time, he'll sync up the launch data witht he data recorder and let me know. I should add that Jim's computers are all sub-1GHz so it takes longer for the processing. I'm slowly getting him into the 21st century, either by upgrading his machines or by off-loading task to my own. ;)
