Shuttle FV24 & Via C3 1ghz

I bought a via c3 1ghz and put it in my shuttle fv24 and bios detects it as a VIA CYRIX III 231 (77mhz X 3). Its supposed to be 100mhz X 10.

The bios options of the fv24 do you not let you manual change the frequency or voltage its all on auto detect.

The only options for frequency/voltage in the bios are
Enable/Disable Auto
Spread Spectrum

I've tried togglign between the enable and disable and that made no difference.

I also have the latest bios for the board.

At the via site it says that the fv24 is a supported board and also theres a few sites where people have put 1ghz in a shuttle fv24.

Any ideas?
