Shuttle Audio Problems (SB61G2)

I have a Shuttle SB61G2 and after loading all the sound drivers, I don't get any sound. I have checked all the possible Audio preferences on Windows XP and there doesn't seem to be anything 'muting' the sound. All drivers report functional according to XP.

I filled out the service form at Shuttles web site, but I got a Mail-not-recieved at my reply e-mail, which gave me that sinking feeling...

Does anyone have any ideas?

did you just grab the drivers off the CD or did you let the install program put them in ?
if the former try the later.
good luck

Built quite a few and have never had a problem with them. Usually I get the drivers straight from the shuttle site.

Yes, I loaded the drivers via the CD 'program'. I also uninstalled them and picked up the latest from Shuttles site. Sound isn't that important for this computer, but I needed it, so I ended up buying a cheap Audio Card ($20)

Thanks for the response.

Thanks for the forum info, I will keep it for future use. As I mentioned above, I purchased a cheap audio card as a work around.

if you are having sound issues and you have a 9700 pro, there is a conflict. When I was using a 9700 pro in that same shuttle I had to send it back to shuttle, however they didn't give me any technical reason as to what the problem was, they just said that a lot of them had conlict. I wouldn't have any sound in any games until I got the one back.
