I am stuck with a bad ECS Nforce3A motherboard with a good AMD Sempron 2800 processor . Can I use this processor on a Shuttle AN35N motherboard that I have ( ie can the BIOS and motherboard (older Nforce Chipset handle that processor) ? Eaht are the processor limits of the AN35N ? - Thanks

The AN35N supports most Socket A processors, including the Socket A Sempron 2800+. However, your ECS board is Socket 754. So it follows that you would have the Socket 754 Sempron 2800+. And therefore you need a Socket 754, not Socket A, motherboard.
