Yes, I know the K7S5A is one of these boards that is almost unfaultable when all things are tallyed up but I was wondering how the AK32 stacks up against it. Having a quick scan through the specs it seems very similar but with the Via KT266 chipset rather than the SiS 735.

I understand that these two chipsets are fairly comparable and have seen several reviews that say as much although they point out that most KT266 boards are more expensive, but these reviews are from early K7S5A days.

Well, I can get the Shuttle board for a few £ cheaper, this is for work builds so a few dozen systems, each sahving off £3 on price is a good thing.

Cheers,

Hmmm, the AK32 uses the old plain jane KT266 chipset which AMD 760 was nicely ahead of, and the SiS 735 on K7S5A totall spanked the KT266, so that along with a NIC on the K7S5A makes me lean towards K7S5A.

I will say in response to Scottin's question, that having used both K7S5A and Shuttle Ak31A, both have been as stable as rocks.
