shutdown problem in win2k

in win2k , right click my computer and goto properties/Hardware/Device Manager/view and then click on "show hidden devices"
hopefully you should see a resource called NT Apm/Legacy Support , if it has a red mark next to it then this is your problem , just double click it to access the properties and then Re-Enable the device , then reboot and your good to go 🙂

it seems as if it helps, but when the computer should be powered off, it shows a blue stop- screen witch is hardly readable...

...When i run windows update i get the inaccessible bootr device error (AFTER the os selection screen (i have only 1 harddisk)...

in order to have your computer automatically turn its power off after you've initiated the shutdown command, you have to enable the 'Advanced Power Management Support" option.
First, go into Control Panel, click on the Power Options icon, and select the 'APM' tab; then enable.
