Everytime I try and shutdown my computer with Windows XP Home, it just restarts itself instead. What is happening? Thanks in advance for any help!

ok, I have unpluged all componants from my computer (except my usb mouse, keyboard, and parralel printer), and since I turned off the "automatic reboot at a problem" I get a blue screen every time I restart or shudown after the "Shutting Windows Down" screen. THis screen basically says:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

0X0000000A ( 0X000002CC, 0X000000FF, 0X00000000, 0X8051E802 )

I tried what that website said for Windows XP, but all that did help me see what the problem is, not solve it. if ANYONE knows how to stop this, please help. thanks, and sorry if I don't know how to read this code, I swear it is my professeur's fault! Text

That error message you're getting normally means you have 2 or more devices fighting for the same resources.

My question here would be: Have you added any new devices to your computer lately or changed any settings in your BIOS? Sound card, new video card, NIC, modem, USB 2.0 card, etc?

Not sure, I have nothing that I would think is on the same "channel". one usb mouse, one keyboard port keyboard, one printer on parralel, lan connecton and wireless connection for internet, thats it!
