Our community has a problem with rampant peacock infestation, believe it or not. They were imported by some rich family in the 1920's and escaped, creating a rather irritating problem for people who like sleeping in. It's mating season right now and the fsckers are bawling full force RIGHT NEXT TO MY HOUSE. Yes they're beautiful birds but the most irritating creatures on the planet. We've tried relocating them to Angeles National Forest but there's just dickwad lawyer on our street who likes them and threatens to sue anyone who does anything to them. :|

Every morning from 6-8 I'm woken up by these infernal birds. They're still making noise. Here's some pics.

**EDIT**

Poisoned birdseed.

Edit - If you're not up to that, borrow a friend's dog. A big, montrous one like a German Shepherd or Doberman. Let it eat a few as an example.

They are very pretty.

I do imagine it's a problem if they're making noise while you sleep.

You know, a few weeks of concerted effort with a .22 would solve the problem.

And yes, they are horrifically noisy/annoying birds.

I know St. Mary's College has them, but I don't remember them being to much of an annoyance, or of hearing that from friends who go there.

Perhaps we could assemble some type of black-ops Peacock Strike Force to help you with your woes...

For those advocating kill them, this neighborhood shares a living area with these birds. There must be some way to deal with the problem without violence. That pattern of thinking has wrought destruction on species in the past.

Perhaps bringing your complaint and possible solutions to the attention of the city or town?

Call a non-dickwad lawyer and see if there's anything you can do. Ask about relocating them down the street to the bird-loving bitch's pad.

Yeah, but they're not as fun. Or delicious.

Can't you sign a petition to have them removed? I'm sure if enough neighbors don't like them, you can have the Peacocks removed. Especially if you just want to relocate them and not kill them...
