I have a p4 2.4 gig c1 with stock heat sink and fan and I am not over clocked, soyo dragon lite mobo,crucial mem pc 2700, 80 gig WD hd, an 8x gforce 440 128 meg vcard and Im using XP pro. The problem is that all of the sudden it will reboot it self for no apparent reason. It has been running great for about a year and now this . I really dont know what to consider first so if there are any good ideas out there please help.

my first suggestion would be a hiccuping power supply. Ive also seen CPU's going out cause this, or rather insufficiently cooled cpu's. chekc to be sure all fans are spinning adequetely, generally on an intel chip youd need at least 4000 RPM.

PSU and memory issues are typical. Try reseating all memory, cards and power connectors to see if it helps. Here is a site with useful startup/shutdown info: http://www.aumha.org (Windows Support site).
