THere are plenty of complaints about the e4c, but none I've heard about the Westone UM2's... let me know how they are when you get them!

Good lord. $200 headphones!?!? My hearing is so damaged by loud '80s rock concerts, I can't tell $200 headphones from my $15 Logitechs. I hope somebody finds this a good deal.

i thought that ringing in my ears was a techno thing for years... old = sux... i use sony's in ears with the silicone mushroon thing, it's got as much range as i can hear any more...

The worse your hearing is, the better phones you want. Between loud rock and the 105's in RVN, I hear more without external sounds than with. Better phones bring the music home.

Just got home 45 mins ago, they were sitting on my front door...

First impression from the 1st song, i just wasted $240

As the songs progress, i think they are breaking in, because they keep sounding better and better.

They almost suck you in.

I'm going through the Enya box set at the moment.

EDIT: HOLY EVER LOVING GOD. I just switched over to a lossless Bohemian Rhapsody ripped directly from the original recording tapes. OH MY GOD, I AM IN HEAVEN.

I use the e2c and they sound fantastic. You can get them for around $66. I can't imagine how good the higher end units are like the 4 and 5 series.

I think the Shure E4C replaced the Ety's on HeadRoom's top ten list.

I found a mini-review of the UM2 vs ER-4P at Head-Fi. I never got base out of my ER-4P's until I replaced the tips with cheap squishy ear plugs. There was a website somewhere that mentioned this and changing the resistor to convert it to a 4S.

I have the e3c and i think it's worth every penny.

I just can't figure out why shure now has a 'gamer' line. e2g, e3g, e4g.. same as the e2c, e3c, e4c... but BLACK..
