Shure E2C replacement ear tips/wax filters?

My last pair of wax filters for my Shure E2Cs are just beginning to get clogged, so I'm thinking about getting new ones. However, at $10 for a 5 pack, they are pretty expensive. Do I need to use these with the E2s? I know that some of Shure's higher end models have no wax filter requirement.

Also, does anyone know of any flanged eartips (such as those that come with the E3Cs or Etymotic ER6s) that would fit on the E2Cs with a bit of modification? The foam tips don't really work for me, and the black rubber ones start to fall out after a while.

I've attached some links to pics of the eartip tube on the E2Cs

Ahhh, crap...I've owned the Shure E4s as well as the Ety ER-4Ps with the S converter. I do remember that the tips were interchangeable but I can't remember whether the Ety tips fit the Shures or vice versa. It might be different for the E2Cs though, if the tube is larger.

Your best bet would be to ask (or do a search on) Head-Fi. I'm positive you can find a definitive answer there. :)
