:shrug;

I had worked on a saturday...and was now late to my birthday party....

The unmarked Mustang caught me going 80 in a 55...🙁

usually reckless driving doesn't come into play unless you're going like 30 above the speedlimit (unless, of course, you were swerving all over the road or something).

Yeah, seems a little harsh for that speed...were you doing other things? Was traffic heavy?

I've received tickets for 100 in a 55, and 109 in a 65 and they were just speeding tickets...

Cops got Mustangs now?

Cops have had Mustangs for years... The 87-93's were pursuit cars in many states, and Ford made "police" Mustangs in those years...

How is going faster than the speed limit reckless driving? Were you swerving or something?

Breaking the speed limit by a certain amount is automatically reckless driving. That amount depends on the state and what the posted limit is.

At least in my state, I believe there are other factors that need to be met for reckless...other than speeding. I'm sure that if you were going like 150 or something, you would probably be fvcked though.

Did he charge it as reckless? I have gotten them over 20 and they have never written them as reckless.

In Virginia, 80 or more in a 65 and 60 or more in a 35 is an instant reckless driving. I don't know of any states that absolutely require other criteria to be met, but I suppose its possible.

I'm glad I don't live in Virginia...that's insane.

Dang...I bet there's people out there who'd go faster upon seeing an unmarked Mustang

Always, I repeat always, let a car get along side you and pass you first so you can see if the driver is wearing a uniform, or if he has any hidden lights mounted in the rear or front windows...

Not that I'd know... 😱
