Am I the only one that seems to have trouble playing a bunch of youtube videos? Seems like more and more that hang at loading and then get "an error occurred."

Was happening a lot ~24 hours ago, pretty consistently with some videos. Different browsers didn't seem to help either.

Why did I instantly know it was a mantis shrimp before clicking the link? They can take down other animals larger than them - fish, shrimp, other shellfish, etc.

They can also split your thumb wide open if you keep them at home.

I swear we had this exact thread.. with the same prawn joke.. a few months ago? Either way, sweet animal. Badass. I really wish they'd put a big crab in to battle, though.

creepy creature. shrimps are normally very mildmannered and friendly in aquariums. this thing is a monster!!!

They can decimate a reef tank. They will kill any and every animal in the tank (outside of corals). They generally don't wander too far. They'll just hang out in their hidey hole and whallop anything that comes close.

Supposedly very smart as well.

reminds me of that crazy worm thing that was posted a few months ago that can "permanently numb" a person's arm. it was also a coral pest as well. these are all reasons why i'd keep a freshwater tank over a salt one!!!!!

Bristle worms. And salt water reef tanks are awesome. Just don't go sticking your hand in the tank at night or sticking your fingers in holes in the rock. These videos really want me to setup a mantis tank.
