Ticket prices skyrocket and more and more theaters are being built, so opening grosses continue to go up. i don't know who's seeing all these movies. I've gone from 2-3 times/month down to once every 5 months or so. Nothing is worth dropping $30 (tickets/food) on these days, it seems. I just rent em!

That's why I spend about $1 at a gas station for gummy bears or something. Then spend $8 on a ticket. Hey, that's only $9!

i went friday to go see it before a party and it was packed. i got to the theatre 40 minutes before the opening and decided it wasn't worth all the screaming kids. tons of people. This particular theatre had Shrek 2 playing on 6 screens.

Shrek 2 came in second behind Spiderman for the biggest weekend gross. It did capture the largest single day gross in history by about a million over Spiderman.
