A 5 year old was in the hospital after eating a Shrek promotional drink @ Baskin Robbins.
They had to insert a tube into her stomach to relieve the pressure from the pop rocks...
The mother is suing BR's

They're a candy that comes in a bag kinda like nerds or something but they pop and fizzle when they get wet IE in your mouth...
Excess pressure in her stomach? What'd she do steal all the bags she could and try to eat them all at once? heh ;)

I wouldn't say it would be impossible... wouldn't it be kinda like a piegeon and some alka seltzer?

No. We can burp while pigeons can not.

Maybe the 5 year old has some sort of problem where she couldn't burp. Not Baskin Robbin's fault, sure, but neither is spilling hot coffee on one's lap. :D

Alrighty that does it.. I need someone to sue now! :p
Lets say I get bit by a mosquito... can I take the mosquito to a lab and find out who the person that he bit before me was... and then go and sue that person for giving that mosquito the taste of human blood?! :D

From the Pop Rock's website:

<< "Ingesting them could induce nothing worse in the human body than a hearty, non-life-threatening belch". >>

Considering icecream is wet, or moist or whatever you want to call it, the poprocks are already fizzling and poping before it hits the persons mouth, the moment the ice cream hit room temp, the pop rocks would of started poping. The kid probably has something else wrong. Its impossible to ingest one, unless maybe you had cotton mouth, even then thats doubtful.

Why all the sarcasm? She's a doctor and provided a reasonable explanation. It's not her fault you reposted a story that was discussed yesterday.

Ok, the mother named her child "Fifi" -- a name that should be reserved for poodles. Does that tell anyone anything?

Yes it does - her parents would have failed if you had to take a test to have babies.
